Read to Beat the Summer Slide
Reading over the summer may be one of the most important your things you and your child can to to help acheive academic success. Did you know that students who read an average of 20 minutes a day typically score in the 90th percentile on standardized tests? Compare that to students who ready an average of 5 minutes a day. Those students typically score in the 50th percentile.
Also if you child is not old enough to read on their own, studies show that being read to is equally important. Not only will it help your child academically, it will help create some special childhood memories.
